Lockdown : Conflict & Functionalist views of PLUS-ONE-OLOGISTS

Recently, I started to analyze few things happening around me.

Like, the focus area and the easy syllabus that was offered for the previous SSLC examination. As a former SSLC student, the pain and jealousy towards the new lucky fellows of 10th grade ate me up. The bulk load of syllabus was cut into tiny pieces and gave them the powder out of the whole syllabus.

My conflict view arised there. This set-up of focus area only will gradually make the children dumber, respectively. They had Victers class, almost 1 whole free year to self-study. They may pass the exam very easily unlike their seniors, but they will be intellectually way behind them, unless or until they plan to feed themself some knowledge.

After 9 months...
Final Exam of Plus Two students. Due to their Board Exam, Plus One students were ignored a lot by the teachers. When the Exam was done, teachers hoped that the school may reopen. There goes our hope of e-class down the drain.

Majority of the Plus One students lost their interest in the topic which they thought they LOVED. Plus One students' book shelves became abundant with undisturbed books and nearly decayed ink. The dust on them started a family and is now currently celebrating Holi. Still hopeless.

That, paved the way for Functionalist view. The lack of motivation from teachers and within bring the children down mentally and physically. Unexplained syllabus and lullabies of unknown chapter shatters the poor heart of the students. They lose the motivation to learn. And the longer it goes, the more lazy and depressed they became. Unnecessary informations were fed when needed one unconsciously ejected. Focus Area only became the oasis for the deserted Plus One students. Children became more self sufficient and learned to observe and analyze things going around them. They may not be keeping up their IQ, but definitely the EQ.

Plus-One-ologists lost the thrill they found in books, even in the medias. But what keep them going is.... Hope.

We have felt both the heart aches. Ache out of envy when SSLC students passed the exam with 'ease'  and ache out of the feeling of being left behind.

It has been 1yr since we are in the SAME grade while the seniors have passed the exam, currently preparing for the colleges and the juniors have caught up to us, to our OWN grade. Where are WE? We are a bunch of people who is in the middle of the desert seeing water afar only to find that we are being fooled by the mirage...

The empty Plus Two seats and untouched Plus One seats... are calling out to us... We astray on our own mind, swallowing the fate with boiling rage...

Conflicted Me may say Focus Area is a dumb way of Education... But the functional part of mine know that it is the OASIS in the desert of Unknown...
